The aim of current study was the effectiveness of emotional regulation training on social adaptation and interpersonal sensitivity of High school students in Tabriz city. This study is a kind of quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design. The statistical populations were all High school students in Tabriz city. The sample size for this study was 30students who were selected through the available sampling method. Sinha & Singh Student adaptation scale and Boyce & Parker interpersonal sensitivity questionnaire were used for data collection. The gathered data were analyzed by means of univariate covariance analysis (ANCOVA). The results of this study showed that emotional regulation training could significantly effecting social adaptation and interpersonal sensitivity of students (p≥ 0/01). So that emotional regulation training reduces interpersonal sensitivity and increases social compatibility among students. So, regarding the effect of emotional regulation training on social adaptation and interpersonal sensitivity of students, it is better in education planning for students the emotional aspects of them should be considered.
